Grail Quest #1: Harlequin

Harlequin (The Grail Quest, #1) - Bernard Cornwell

I loved this book! It captivated my attention in the first few pages and afterwards I found myself reading it every second I had to. In fact, I haven't picked my kindle up since I started it because nothing on there seemed as important to me as finishing this book. I read the majority of it yesterday being lazy instead of doing things that needed to be done. That's how into this book I was.

He did a great job with the characters ... and the anticipation during confrontations had me holding my breath a couple of times, reading quickly to find out what would happen next. The descriptions of battle were so detailed that I could picture myself standing there a long side of them.

I have to say that I only had one problem with it and that was the fact that there were some questions that I personally had (you know, what happened to this character or that character), but since it's the first of a series, I'm sure those questions will be answered in the books that follow.

I plan to continue reading his books and anyone who has never tried it - pick the book up today and check it out.
