The Secret Guild of Glass Men

The Secret Guild of Glass Men - James Alexander

This is one of the hardest reviews I've written in a long time. Usually they are hard because I have so much to say and I don't want to give away too much; this one is hard because I don't even know where to start. The storyline itself is a really good idea and very interesting. Unfortunately, the actual book didn't live up to the expectations. It was confusing, poorly edited (to the point of using the wrong words in spots), rambled on and on, conversations were awkward, and there were a lot of info dumps. With such a great premise gone so wrong, it was really a disappointment (which is hard for me to say about any work of art, especially a book because I know how much hard these guys work on their product). James, with a good editor (I know a few good ones and you are more than welcome to contact me if you're interested) and a little more work, this story good easily be 4 or 5 stars.

Note: I received a copy of this book in exchange for an unbiased review. No other consideration was offered, expected or received.
